Between 1838 and 1840, the London publisher John Tallis published a series on 88 views of London’s major streets, showing serried ranks of commercial premises along with accompanying plates, descriptions and advertisements. The map below shows the locations that the Street Views depicted; each marker is placed at the centre of the appropriate plate.
