"text":"<p><em>London Bridge</em> - It is the most ancient bridge in the city. About thirty years ago, it was burthened with houses, on each side, but in 1756, the corporation came to a resolution to pull them down, in order to make the bridge more commodious. It has 15 arches, is 915 feet in length, 73 feet in breadth and 43½ in height.</p><p>The machine, which occupies a part of it, and furnishes the neighbouring quarter of the city with water, merits attention.</p>",
