"text":"<p><a href='http://www.romanticlondon.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Phillips1804_p633_-_Middlesex_Hospital_-_New_Potatoes.jpg'><img class='alignnone wp-image-224 size-medium' src='http://www.romanticlondon.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Phillips1804_p633_-_Middlesex_Hospital_-_New_Potatoes-228x300.jpg' alt='Phillips(1804)_p633_-_Middlesex_Hospital_-_New_Potatoes' width='228' height='300' /></a></p><p>NEW POTATOES</p><p>ABOUT the latter end of June and in July become sufficiently plentiful to be cried at a tolerably cheap rate in the streets.  They are sold wholesale in the markets by the bushel, and retail by the pound.  Three halfpence or a penny per pound is the average price from the barrows.</p><p>---</p><p>Middlesex Hospital is situated at the northern end of Berners-street, Oxford-street, and is the county hospital for diseased persons.  The building consists of a centre and wings, and stands in a large court with trees, covered by a wall in front with two gates, one of which is represented in the Plate opening to the west wing.  In the front of the centre of the building is placed a stone tablet, with the following inscription: — 'Middlesex Hospital, erected in MDCCLV. supported by voluntary Contribution.'</p>",
