"text":"<p><em>The Banqueting House - </em>This unrivalled piece of architecture was added to the palace of Whitehall by <em>James</em> I. after the design of <em>Inigo Jones</em>.  This structure consists chiefly of a royal chapel, the cieling of which was painted by <em>Peter Paul Rubens</em>; there is divine service every day at eleven o’clock, when any person may have admittance.  It was from this pavilion (several of whose windows are walled up) that king <em>Charles</em> passed to go to the scaffold.  Behind the building is a statue of <em>James</em> II. upon a pedestal, which is esteemed to be one of the finest of its kind in England.</p>",
